Formula E, je t’aime
4/26/18 / Formula E / Warm-Up
Formula E season four is entering its crucial stage. The eighth of a total of twelve races will be held in Paris next weekend. It’s not the first time the French capital has played host to the FIA Formula E Championship: the previous two years have seen drivers fight gripping duels on the 1.92-kilometer Circuit des Invalides surrounding the historic Dôme des Invalides.
Back to old strength
Following a difficult start to the 2017/2018 season, Team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler once again found its winning ways. The team’s tally now includes a victory for the German Daniel Abt and two second places for title defender Lucas di Grassi. Di Grassi has particularly fond memories of Paris: the Brazilian was victorious there two years ago.
Future technology meets future vision
Due to its high population density and traffic volume, the metropolis of Paris is especially en vogue when it comes to the mobility of tomorrow. Paris also was the place where the participants of the 21st UN Climate Conference agreed on pioneering projects for climate protection including a drastic reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve these ambitious aims, major changes in terms of future propulsion systems – electric drives – are necessary. Paris is therefore a fitting venue for a Formula E race which is already making a contribution to a clean environment today thanks to its “green” concept. This helps pave the way toward the climate-neutral mobility of tomorrow.
